Can an employee just go to their GP?
Most GP’s have little or no training in occupational health and have no knowledge of your workplace. It is essential and a legal requirement to have a competent medical occupational health doctor with a full understanding of the hazards and risks in your business to advise you.
 
Will your business get more claims if we tell someone they have a problem?
 
Health surveillance should reduce claims because it identifies employees that are at risk before they develop severe symptoms. It also documents the precautions they need to take to work healthily.
 
 
Will you get a copy of your health surveillance results – are they confidential?
 
We provide each business with a health record for each employee examined. In addition we keep full clinical records for employees and these are held at a high level of security.
Can an employee refuse to attend health surveillance – is it mandatory?
The employee is required to attend the health surveillance tests, refusal to attend without good reason will be in breach of the legislation and most probably their contract of employment.  
Will you be charged per service or per day?
We only charge per item of service.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, our cancellation policy is as follows:

Company Health Services books appointments for Occupational Health Advisors and Doctors in advance, with the assumption that those appointments will be kept. We understand that sometimes it is not possible to keep these appointments, however, if this situation arises we ask for notice of cancellation as soon as possible. Late cancellation of an appointment means that Company Health Services cannot deliver the high expectation of customer service it strives for, as another member of the client base could have been seen within the appointed time. This cancellation policy enables our client base to get the best of the services we have to offer.

If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged the full cost of the scheduled appointment.

If an appointment is cancelled within 48 hours you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the scheduled appointment.
